jet lag and other travel quandaries

hello hello. first of all i have to say thanks to everyone who commented or sent emails based on my last post! i'm so excited that friends & fam can follow along on our trip, and that you like my reporting. technology makes the whole world smaller :)

secondly can i just say...seriously?? i'm still suffering from jet lag? what the heck. b got over it in like two days flat, but i am still having trouble. i require a daily nap around 430 p.m. (i guess i don't HAVE to have it, but i get super cranky if i don't) and i still wake up at 5 a.m. every day -- though i am getting better with the constant waking up during the night. not to mention my stomach hasn't caught up yet either. i wake up starving in the mornings but barely get hungry during the day. it's so weird how your body clock asserts itself.

another interesting side effect of travel: being flexible. for better or worse, i'm a very type-A person. i like to plan, i like to have schedules, i like to know how many calories i'm eating and have an idea of what i'm doing tomorrow. with traveling, all this flies out the window. i'm trying to adapt but it's kind of tricky.

we just arrived in munich, hometown of project runway's heidi klum! one of the best parts of being here: free internet. another blog post will be up tonight.

Oh my gosh my beloved Munich!!!! Tell it hello for me! Go to the English garden, look for the little monks on the side of the UBahn cars, and make sure to listen to the owl hoot at the end of the glockenspiel in Marienplatz.
