i'm back! the last ten days have flown by, but it was definitely a lot of work. unfortch for all my remote readers, i restrict myself to providing details of anything work-related...
let's just say my week involved plenty of 18 hour days, a trip to the ER, some major hotel damage, a free 80-min. warm stone massage (heavenly!!), a LOT of european smoking, curse words and smells (great prep for my trip -- did i mention i'm going to europe in NINE DAYS!!) and meeting a lot of really cool people from all over the world. feel free to ask me for details, i'm happy to share in person!
brandon was able to come down and visit me over the weekend. great vacation for him, laying in bed/by the pool/in our hotel room while i worked. puh. i still got to have a little free time to share with him though, so that was nice.
sunday we visited the local rancho bernardo ward for sacrament meeting; i can't even begin to explain how off-balance i felt with not being able to go to church last week. it wasn't just missing church, because that does happen once in a while -- i think i just felt so out of whack because ALL i did for 10 days was work, so i wasn't able to keep up with all of my normal spiritually-enriching activities. boo.
church was great and then afterward we ventured to the beautiful san diego temple:
what a great morning.
today i am taking the day OFF (don't worry, i already worked for 3.5 hours in my pjs...hmm...) and am so excited to catch up on project runway, laundry, groceries, etc. so nice to be back to regular life!
