just to recap

sorry, i feel like i've been a blog-slacker lately. i guess too much real life has gotten in the way of my digital life (crazy, i know...who would have thought that would ever happen to me?? however i am newly signed up on twitter...http://twitter.com/lyndseyrules add me if you're on it!)

last week i worked and stuff. maybe i'll give you more details on the "stuff" when it's official but for now i have no news.

yesterday we walked our "precinct" to find out how the hood plans to vote on prop 8, aka the amendment to (AGAIN) legally define traditional marriage. i guess we were in a liberal neighborhood because only two people told me they plan to vote "yes." a yes vote means you want to keep the traditional definition of marriage; a no vote means you approve same-sex marriage. no also means that your kids will then be taught in school that gay marriage is okay, when i personally feel that subjects like that are moral issues for each family to determine in their own way, not have it be taught from someone else outside the home. also this is pretty much retarded because the state of CA passed (by 61%) the exact same law back in 2000. so we're doing it againnnn. (for more info on prop 8 you can go here.)

i was a little nervous to go knock on doors because i was afraid people would attack us, but for the most part people were really nice. we didn't have to do any persuading or lobbying -- just informational surveying to see how people plan to vote. it was also really hot and i sweat a lot. good exercise though i guess!

then i went to a baby shower for my friend sherice. then i came home and cleaned my house and ate cereal. then i got my hair cut and brandon and i went to dinner w/ my fam. and THEN we came home and watched the utah/unlv game and caught up on the end of the byu game (i had a dream that byu lost this week, so i was worried about them...luckily they pulled it out).

today i went to church twice, once to see some of our LA friends bless their twins and another time in our own ward. then i took a nap :) it was lovely.

and now i leave you with some mormon sightings because i've been having a lot of them lately. first of all i was at the gym last week and some new show was on TNT...i was intrigued because zack from saved by the bell is on it, but then the more i watched i saw that the guy who played joseph smith in the work & the glory movies was also in it. cool until he started kissing up on the mom from malcolm in the middle...that was weird.

then, in a recent issue of us weekly, i saw this quote from katherine heigl: "on her mormon faith: 'i've just got very lazy about it. i satisfy my vices instead of fighting them. if i start going back to church, i'd have to stop the smoking and drinking.'" oh katherine. besides your choice to star in "my father the hero," i'd say you've got a lot of issues going on.

busy life lately for the payzant-wells house. but vacation is coming up so i guess i can handle it.

first of all...the "stuff" made me feel like you were pregnant, but it wasn't official yet. You should really not tease like that.

Second of all...I can't believe you now DREAM about BYU football. You win on being a better fan than I.

Third....Katherine Heigl is/was Mormon? And the J.S. guy was kissing the Malcolm Mom, or just kissing up TO her. Need some clarification before I start judging.

Fourth...I am impressed about your political proselyting. Look at you and your standing up for the right. Applaud.

Fifth...email to you is forthcoming.

Okay, I had no idea that Katherine Heigl was a member of the church. (Probably because she's not, really.) What a heathen. Haha, j/k!
