projects!

geez, thanks friends! i had no idea all of you would be so excited to see my latest sewing projects. thanks for your encouragement! here's a sneak peek...

the ruffle necklace:

the up-cycled shirt -- decided to add a little more color than the tutorial; i like how it turned out:

newly covered pillows for the couch. we used to have four extra couch pillows but they mysteriously didn't make it through the move; we haven't seen them since pasadena. i bought two new ones at a yard sale a few weeks ago but wanted to re-cover them so they'd tie in my awesome turquoise mirror a little better...and here's the result. what do you think?

p.s. we are allllmost done decorating the new place, for now at least. i'll have pics of the apt up soon :)

That necklace is too cute! I've been seeing them all over etsy and I was SO tempted to buy one... so thanks for the tute so I don't have to spend anymore dolla bills. I love the shirt upcycle too! Look at you, sewing all kinds of stuff!

PS Your FB comment made me feel bad for being a blog-recluse, so I'm temporarily coming out of hiding...haha
