overwhelmed.
sometimes i just feel like there is WAY too much to do.
and just when i start thinking there's no way i could feel any worse -- i read mommy blogs of women who are preparing meals for their families which involve words like "artisan" and "ginger cilantro" and "sweet potatoes" and i just start feeling overwhelmed all over again. there are so many things i'm not good at.
when will life slow down?

I'm sorry you feel overwhelmed. I've learned in the past month of being a mother that I can't compare myself to others, because it just seems like everyone else has it more together and can get more accomplished than me and I feel maxed out! However, you ARE a very busy woman with work and church etc. I don't know how you do it!
When you are a mom, it'll slow down and speed up at the same time :) You'll spend your days at home just feeding, changing diapers, bouncing and rocking babies to sleep. Sounds easy and relaxing, however...I can't quite manage to find time to do ANYTHING. I have to have low expectations for accomplishing things during the day! haha.
Ok, so two things - I killed the first ugly black thing the other day since being married too!!! It was like a spider-fly-looking-thing. The funny part? I killed it by spraying it with windex over and over again, then dumping a cup of water on it, then hitting it with a fly swatter like 10 times yelling "Yah!!! Yah!!!! YAH!!!!" It was terrifying.
Secondly, I get really excited about high school musical movies, hannah montana, and zac efron movies too. It's called staying young, baby! Not everyone can do it! I think it's a gift and a talent!!!
I have NO IDEA when life will slow down... haha! But don't forget, there are so many things that you ARE good at!!! Here's a very brief summary: being funny, laughing, telling jokes, telling stories, spotting raccoons, enjoying sugary goodness, earning moolah, designing wicked awesome cards, serving the YW, and making people smile!! Yaaaaay!!
there there, my friend. YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR!
Seriously. You should know that by now.
Am I allowed to add to Jean's list? I like her list:
wearing black nail polish, creating greeting cards/birthday cards/thank you cards, keeping in touch with your friends, listening to other people's pointless stories, public relations, being awesome, laughing, twitter, facebook, sending Christmas ornaments for "Our First Christmas", being friends with your mom, being a good big sister, being a good friend to ME.
LOVE YOU!
I am right there with you...sometimes I am like, don't people understand "I can't be good at EVERYTHING!"
Love the picture you chose (and I actually dislike dogs).
Um, I don't think life ever slows down. Now that I have kids, I like to pretend that my former life was less busy and luxurious....but really it was just as crazy. I worked tons of hours, still tried to do hobbies, and all the church stuff too. I think that if you're a busy person you'll always be busy. You'll just find different things you're juggling. And since I KNOW you have a gazzillion talents....you're going to be busy forever!
p.s.
Jean's comment is super cute. I concur with all that she said!
might I direct you to my mommy blog? I will never use the word ginger in a post. I don't think I have ginger in my spice drawer. Oreos are for dinnner at my house. Come on over!
Reading other posts is always a gamble for me. Should I or shouldn't I? Lately it's an I shouldn't....so I'm with ya on the "overwhelming" factor. Working a full time job, being a wife, and holding a calling is enough...not to metion your cute stationary blog that I just spotted. Holy cute.
I'm not good at all those mom things either...and I have three kids! I'm lucky if my house doesn't smell like dirty diapers every day. Although, I do have to say, being a mom is way more fun then working full time. There's more smiles. So the solution is...get pregnant! :) ha ha!
